Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to Emily Claire Design’s FAQ page. Here you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions I’m asked about my interior design services. If you don’t see your question here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
What services do you offer?
I offer bespoke interior design services across Kent and the UK, tailored to your lifestyle and budget. My work includes full-room transformations, space planning, colour consultations, mood boards, and sourcing furniture, finishes, and accessories. Whether you’re looking for a complete home redesign or just styling advice, I’ll create a design that feels personal, functional, and unique.
Do you offer online or virtual design services?
Yes. I provide e-design packages that allow you to work with me remotely, no matter where you’re based in the UK. You’ll receive mood boards, floor plans, and a curated shopping list, all delivered digitally. This is a great option if you want professional design guidance without needing in-person visits.
What is your design process like?
My process always starts with a friendly consultation where we explore your style, needs, and budget. From there, I develop a design concept with mood boards and layouts, refine it with your feedback, and then bring it to life through sourcing, styling, and, if needed, contractor management. My goal is to make your design journey smooth, enjoyable, and inspiring.
How much does it cost to work with you?
Costs depend on the size and scope of your project. Smaller consultations start at an affordable flat fee, while full-room or full-home designs are quoted individually. During our discovery call, I’ll clearly outline pricing so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you work with all budgets?
Yes. I believe everyone deserves a beautiful, well-designed home. I create designs that mix “splurge and save” pieces so you can achieve a stylish, high-quality result at a budget that suits you.
Will you work with existing furniture or décor I already have?
Definitely. I enjoy incorporating existing furniture and meaningful items into a new design. This not only makes your home feel more personal but also supports sustainable, eco-friendly design.
How long does a project usually take?
Timeframes vary depending on the project. A mood board or consultation can be completed in 1–2 weeks, while larger room redesigns or whole-home projects may take several months. I’ll always give you an estimated timeline at the start.
Do you manage contractors and installations?
Yes. For full-service projects, I can coordinate with trusted contractors and suppliers in Kent and beyond to ensure your design is carried out seamlessly. For online design packages, I provide detailed plans that you can give directly to your own contractors.
What areas do you cover?
I’m an interior designer based in Kent, but I work on projects across the UK, both in person and virtually.
How do I get started?
It’s easy to begin. Simply book a discovery call or send me a message via my contact page. We’ll chat about your project, answer your questions, and plan the next steps for creating a home you’ll love.
